The qualified candidate will work with enterprise customers to shorten the sales cycle by addressing customer concerns, facilitating product implementations, and supporting the account executives. We are seeking energetic individuals who have experience in both the business and technical aspects of a software sale. The Sales Engineer must have solid communication skills, sales ability, technical expertise, and the candidate must work well in a team as well as independently. The candidate is expected to perform well in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. The position provides a unique opportunity to play a critical role in the success of an early-stage company. Responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to): -
Assist in crafting sales and pre-sales strategies. -
Present technical product demonstrations. -
Compile detailed customer environment information and determine best implementation approach for the BitArmor solution -
Travel to prospect sites to conduct successful Proofs of Concept, including installing, configuring, and testing the security solution -
Act as technical resource for account executives and prospects as they navigate their way through the sales cycle -
Interface with the engineering team to resolve technical issues -
Assist with responding to RFIs and RFPs -
Prepare Statements of Work -
Arrange product shipments -
Assist with the development of our channel partners. This may include conducting joint account calls, updating their technical staff on new products and features, and working with their staffs to deliver solutions for customers Required qualifications include: -
At least 5 years of documented pre-sales experience in enterprise software, preferably security -
Exceptionally strong organizational, customer service, and communication/persuasion skills -
Proven ability to achieve monthly quotas (in working with an account executive) and to retain customers -
Strong problem solving and analytical skills -
Well-developed interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with diverse personalities -
Strong understanding of IT organizational structures -
Experience in articulating of the role of technology in solving business issues and improving ROI -
Upbeat, “can do” attitude -
B.S./B.A. degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field Plusses: -
Multi-tasking skills necessary to thrive in a fast paced, early stage company environment -
Startup experience is a plus -
Previous sales or pre-sales experience relating to data security or data management software solutions -
Previous sales or pre-sales experience relating to compliance-centric solutions -
Experience in working with customers on addressing HIPAA, SOX, GLBA, or PCI compliance issues -
Software engineering experience -
CISSP certification -
